Superhero Cookies

It's been a Super week around here getting ready for a Super party with lots of Superhero cookies for a Super little guy who turned 3. These were challenging but really fun. Weston was the only critical one wondering where the bump was for Spiderman's nose. Details, details.

Jumping cake pops

My sweet little cake pops were giving me such a hard time yesterday. They kept jumping off the sticks. Couldn't convince them to hang on. But look how nice cake pops can be when they ditch the stick. Pretend they are in a lovely tin instead of Gladware. I'm thinking they should always be stickless.

Summer to Fall Cookies

I made these cookies for an "End of Summer" office party. I just bought some fall cutters and was excited to use them. Squirrel, acorn, leaves. But then, when it came time to fill in the details on the squirrel, I went blank. Guess I need to pay more attention to the little boogers running around the yard because those cookies need some work. So if you see me sitting outside staring off into the yard, I'm doing research. I am not just brain dead from answering the same question over and over and over to a 4 year old or trying to guess what a 1 year old wants when all she does is nod or shake her head. And nodding can mean either yes or no.

Time for me to eat the squirrels that didn't make the cut with a glass of wine.

Bzzz Cookies

I love making these bee and beehive cookies. The bees are just perfect bite-size. This is good if I give all the cookies away. This is bad if I just keep eating one every time I walk through the kitchen.

Surf's Up Dude! Cookies

I had so much fun making these surfer theme cookies for my friend's son's 5th birthday.

Here they all bagged on sticks. I made blue cake balls to look "oceany". The men at the party got a kick out of "blue balls". They never grow up do they? Didn't seem to stop them from eating them though.

Princess Cookies

Weston had 2 birthday parties today. It's hard to keep up with the social calendar of a 4 year old. I made these for Princess Sophie's gift basket. Wes picked the colors and did the sprinkles for me.

I made some cake balls in matching colors.

Then I a few little toys and put it all together for her gift. Hopefully her mom is taking my advice and enjoying the cake balls with some white wine right about now.

Tomorrow will be Liam's Surfer cookies...

Kate's 1st bday cake and cookies

I know. Kate's bday was several months ago. I have been busy doing some cute cookies for one of Weston's friend's 5th bday but guess what? Forgot to take pictures when I had them all laid out. They are all tucked away in the freezer until Saturday.
